Hi there, if you are reading this you are probably asking what is the Newspaper Teahouse, and should I come along?

The Newspaper Teahouse is a temporary interactive art installation where you (anyone reading this) can come along to Crave Cafe and be a guest at a free curated tea ceremony (you will enjoy real tea). You might engage in deep chat, or you also might just enjoy the experience of the tea ceremony itself. This is a playful exploration around themes of connection, presence, and quieting the mind through simple ritual, a communion-esque experience. Also the teahouse is made of newspaper.

Tea ceremony sessions will start on the hour from 9am - 3pm 16th-19th of June, at Crave Cafe - 6 Morningside Drive, Morningside Auckland. The sessions will last 45 minutes. Walk-ins welcome but priority will be given to those who book - txt Jared 021 0342256.

• Tea is included

• Please arrive 5 minutes before start time, bookings cannot be held after start time

• No food or drink in the teahouse but we encourage you to get something at Crave before or afterward

• If the session is booked you will have to wait

• This installation may be not suited for young kids (tight space/boiling water/etc), although they are welcome if accompanied by an adult

• We can take groups up to 4 people
