Newspaper Teahouse
Hi there, if you are reading this you are probably asking what is the Newspaper Teahouse, and should I come along?
The Newspaper Teahouse is a temporary interactive art installation where you (anyone reading this) can come along to Crave Cafe and be a guest at a free curated tea ceremony (you will enjoy real tea). You might engage in deep chat, or you also might just enjoy the experience of the tea ceremony itself. This is a playful exploration around themes of connection, presence, and quieting the mind through simple ritual, a communion-esque experience. Also the teahouse is made of newspaper.
Tea ceremony sessions will start on the hour from 9am - 3pm 16th-19th of June, at Crave Cafe - 6 Morningside Drive, Morningside Auckland. The sessions will last 45 minutes. Walk-ins welcome but priority will be given to those who book - txt Jared 021 0342256.
Tea is included
Please arrive 5 minutes before start time, bookings cannot be held after start time
No food or drink in the teahouse but we encourage you to get something at Crave before or afterward
If the session is booked you will have to wait
This installation may be not suited for young kids (tight space/boiling water/etc), although they are welcome if accompanied by an adult
We can take groups up to 4 people
